  1. It plays fine in WMP (with Nero Video Decoder). Here is the info from MPC. I have both DivX and Xvid installed. What's missing here?

    Thanks!

Looks like xvid video with aac audio and encoded with winavi(zjmedia). Does other mp4 work in mpc? I use haali media splitter and ffdshow and most mp4 works fine in mpc then.

  5. I have no problem with AVI files with divx or xvid. This file has mp4 suffix and it seems to be different. I am not sure how MPC works so I went into option to fiddle around with filters. Turned off internal MP4/MOV and added external Xvid decoder. The XVid decoder has the major and subtype already -- I can't find where to put formattype. MPC plays just the audio but no video.

I am guessing here: is this a problem b/c the muxing (guessed from the word splitter)? ffdshow sounds like a general purpose video decoder. Which one would you recommend me to try first?

    Thanks!

  6. Installed haali media splitter. Nothing changes. Try to add it as external filter but no difference. Do I need ffdshow?

Any explanation on how these things work together?

    Thanks!
