Anyone know of a Windows download of MPLEX from mjpegtools ? It seems to be Linux only yet some people reference it as if it runs under Windows...

If you download DVDAuthorGUI (link below), you can browse to the 'bin' directory, and grab it from there. Once you have the file, you can simply uninstall DVDAuthorGUI.

Thanks ! Will try these for ImagoMPEG-Muxer ...

    the user comment https://www.videohelp.com/tools/ImagoMPEG-Muxer#usercomments says
"I tried the latest mplex 2.2.4 of the mjpegtools 1.8.0 package and it now works like a charm. There are no timecode errors in Virtualdub anymore and audio stays in sync now."

I was looking for at least 1.8.0 and the dvdauthorgui web page said it was at 1.6 or thereabouts (I note 1.9 beta is out too), so I'll try the 1.8 links.

http://freenet-homepage.de/CharlesWeb/download/mjpegtools_180_A64_Win32.7z is for the AMD athlon64 version for 32-bit XP. Now, off to find Cygwin dll ver v1.5.24-2, 02/2007

Hmm, http://www.cygwin.com/ only lets you download the setup.exe which also installs associated applications too and not just download the DLL ... then again http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/cygwin/release/cygwin/ lets you download the tar and you can use 7zip to find and extract the DLL from that I guess into the same folder as mplex ?

You only need a single cygwin1.dll, either in the same folder as mplex.exe or in your path, ala c:\windows\system32

It may be my imagination, but it seems that a native mplex win32 build
seems to run much faster than when compiled with cygwin. If I have a chance this week, I will see if I can compile the latest repository.

it appears the author of dvdforger has beat me to it. If you download that, you will find a native win32 build of mplex 1.9.

Only some additional info: if you're interested, the file 'tools\how-to-build.txt' in the DVDforger package explains how I managed to build it.

    Have a nice day,

Hello again ... same question again, is it safely "getable" without installing other software ?
