    1. On my new camcorder there is no fire wire port , how to transfer video from camera to computer.
    2. HDMI output jack is there, this is for what purpose ?
    3. How to convert AVCHD format to AVI for editing in roxio software.

    1. Doesn't it record to DVDs? Put the DVDs in your DVD reader.
    2. To connect to a hdtv, projector,etc.
    3. Get another editor that support avchd directly, Ulead VideoStudio Plus for example.
