Output Issues

Not sure if anyone had this issue before. I use Premiere 6.5. I have a 3 min video I am trying to dump to mini DV tape via firewaire into my Sony Cam. When I scrub the timeline, I clearly seee the video in the pop out screen on the camera. I hit enter and after about 15 seconds of playing, the feed to the camera stops and the screen goes to blue. It simply cuts out.

I tried another firewire cable, defragging the computer, restrating - no change. The video I am using is on an external drive but I don't see why this would pose an issue. I thought the camera was broken but I borrowed my friends Sony camera and it does the same thing.

I cannot figure out why the ouput signal is stopping.

Is the project setting DV and did you fully render the timeline? Does the full timeline preview play on the PC monitor?
