split a multi-angle dvd9 to two dvd5's questions

This dvd9 has 2 movies as multiangles (shows up as one title in 'Shrink). I want to keep the menu, extras and have each movie on it's own dvd. Should I copy the whole dvd9 to the HD first? If so, does it matter what software I use? Dvddecryptor, DvdFab, 'Shrink w/out compression?
I've read you can delete one of the angles (movies) with Pgcedit, but Pgcedit warns that you need to use Vobblanker to actually delete it. Is there a guide for this?

DVD Decrypter will allow to rip just a single, specified branch. You can then re-author or recompress as you see fit without having to blank anything.

I copied the dvd9 to the HD. Prefer to blank, not reauthor. I'd like to keep everything as is, except only each movie on it's own dvd. Vobblanker won't recognize multi-angle dvds. Pgcedit says to use Vobblanker in a certain domain but I don't know how or at what stage I do this (before or after using Pgcedit).

I would re-rip with DVD Decrypter, selecting just the angle I wanted. Much simpler. You set the angle under

Tools->Settings->File Mode Tab. Click Multi-Angle Processing, and select an angle from the drop-down list.

I've removed angles before, but haven't done what you want to do; remove one angle and burn it to disc, and then remove the other and burn it to disc, but the principle is the same.

I haven't done it for awhile, but as I remember, you remove one angle in PGCEdit, and you then open it in VobBlanker, ignore the warnings, and process the whole thing. Then you want to remove the buttons leading to the other angle in the menus, also using PGCEdit. Here, this thread, reading down from the yellow post, should help:

To get the other angle, replace the IFOs that PGCEdit saves out by default and start over again with the original DVD, this time removing the other angle, before processing in VobBlanker.

thanks, guys. I got the 2-step process to work perfectly and easily: run thru Pgcedit "delete angles," then just run the result thru Vobblanker which automatically collates the vobs for the selected movie. Keeps everything on the original dvd. Restored the PGcedit Backup, and re-did the process selecting the other movie. If only everything was this easy!
