    ERR: Error in parsing XML.

    When encoding .avi file with .srt subtitles I get this message when 99% of the encoding is done .
    Does anyone know what's the problem?

    There was an error rendering the subtitles. Possibly there are spaces and/or special characters in the path (disk name, folder names) and/or filename, that the module for handling subtitles doesn't like. Remove those characters and try again.

    Thanks Case,

    When I try to fix illegal characters ( I don't see any but just in case) in SubSynX I get this;

    An exception of class OutOfBoundsException was not handled.
    The application must shut down.

    Where did SubSynX come in?
    I'm not talking about characters inside the .srt file,
    but about the folder names and filename,
    like so:
    from John's folder/Malèna.srt to Johns_folder/Malena.srt.

    Sorry Case, you're right. You probably also know what ERROR: [mplex] means.
    Is there a list of errors?

    mplex is the tool inside ffmpegX that takes care of multiplexing, that is, putting the various streams (video, audio, subs, padding) together in one file. ERROR: [mplex] means that mplex was the running application when an error occurred. Exactly what went wrong should be listed after that statement; ERROR: [mplex] is half the message.
