    I have some files that are in avi format and I need to burn them to nero. I have nero 7. I am new to this and would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

    What do you mean "Burn them to Nero" ? Your statement doesn't make sense.

    You are either trying to

    1. Burn to a disc as data using Nero
    2. Converting to DVD and burning using NeroVision/Nero
    3. Converting to Nero's AVC Mpeg4 format

    If you can explain more clearly what you are trying to do, you wil get better advice.

    I don't usually recommend Nero except for burning CD and DVD data discs. But there are guides for most of the Nero programs in our HOW TO/CONVERT section: https://www.videohelp.com/convert

    If you are planning to convert AVIs, such as Xvids off the net to DVDs, I would try ConvertXToDVD and ImgBurn instead. And ImgBurn also does data discs.
