I have been trying to transfer some of my revent DV (and HDV) tapes filmed in 16:9 aspect to pc. But something goes wrong in this progress and the converted video turns out to be in 4:3 format after all. This has been happening since I tried transfering on this new pc, everthing went ok on old pc. I'm unable to locate the problem myself.
Cam is Sony HDR-HC3 hi-def, card is Pinnacle 9 and soft I've been using is Ulead 10.

Please post hdv "capturing" in our dv / hdv forum. Moving you.
can you tell if the original DV file is 16x9? try gspot. This can indicate if the problem is possibly a cam setting, or a Pinnacle problem.
