Hello everyone.
I have problems with slowmotion in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0. The picture gets a little bit "shaky", and the quality goes down a bit, after rendering the film.![]()
Does anyone know what the problem might be? Are there some really important settings that I might be able to change? Im not very into the editing part, so I would appreciate all tips I could get.
Also - could there be some setting that I could change in the capturing of the video part to make it better or prevent the problem totally? if you've got time, please tell me what settings you consider important to use.
Thanks a lot
Chris

The short answer is no.
The long answer is that it is very difficult to get good slow motion after the fact. Do a search for slow motion and you will find a post that uses some pretty heavy avisynth scripting and plugins to produce some pretty good slow motion. It is a slow to run and process, but it does a very good job.
Real slow motion is done by shooting at higher frame speeds, so that when it is played back normally, you get slower action. Very few DV cameras allow you to do this. So you have to do it in software. The slow motion effect in most editors simply blends frames to create missing ones and slow down the action. The result is usually blurry and comparatively low quality.
You might try looking for plugins like Twixtor, that specialise in this. Twixtor is available for AE, so it should run under Premiere as well.
Thanks a lot for the answer, I will get into it right away and try to find a good plug-in
Im trying something out with the capturing. Can anyone who have time post their capture settings (all of them) in Premiere Pro 2.0 here so that I can see if I got something wrong?
I would appreciate that. Thanks a lot in advance
