  1. What is the best way to write on Black CD-R's?

    Get a white or silver sharpie. That would be my choice.

    Just to add. You have to careful with CDs. The aluminum layer that the burner writes to is on the top surface with usually just a thin layer of lacquer to protect it. A ball point pen can destroy it. Not like a DVD that has a plastic layer on top of the write layer. Best is inkjet or printable CDs as they have a thicker layer to protect the write layer.
