Whenever the 'Encode' button is pushed, the following dialog box appears:

    Applescript Error
Can't make missing value into type integer. (-1700)

This is with ffmpegX 0.0.9x r2

Have there been any updates tested with 10.5 betas?

I'm also getting applescript errors running the retail version of leopard. I get mine when I press the "auto" button in the bitrate calculator section under the video tab.

The error reads:"Applescript Error: The specified object is a property, not an element. (-10008)"

Anyone know how to fix these problems or are we going to have to wait for an offical update?

  4. Thats not true, there are people who are already getting their copies in the mail. Thats one of the downfalls of shipping it so people get it on release day, sometimes the mail actually gets delivered early

The specified object is a property, not and element.
    (-10008)

    Worked fine in Tiger.

For me, this happens e.g. when pressing the "Rate" button on the "Video" tab. Makes ffmpegX kind of useless.

Please, any word of a fix?

    Hi,

I am having the same issue on Leopard Build 9A581, just downloaded the latest release hoping it was fixed. But no joy, and news on when this will be fixed on Leopard.

    Thanks

I long used ffmpegx on Tiger and loved it for .avi to .mp4 conversion for tv via ipod av cable playback. When trying to run ffmpegx on Leopard, i get the following error (before anything loads up):

    AppleScript Error

    <<class pxsf>> "/Applications/ffmpegx.app/Contents/Resources/Scripts/lcdlib.scpt" of <<script>> doesn't understand the <<event sysoload>> message (-1708)

Theres only one option on that window, "OK". I hit that, and then the main window loads up, asking for me to install the binaries, even though they are already installed. As soon as that window loads, another applescript error appears:

    AppleScript Error

    76 doesn't understand the <<event sysontoc>> message. (-1708)

I hit "OK" (only option), and then I am on the binary installation screen. I tried to reinstall the binaries from this screen, but any attempt to "locate" the binaries gives the error:

    AppleScript Error

    <<script>> doesn't understand the <<event sysostdf>> message. (-1708)

    My specs:
    Leopard 10.5.1
Macbook 2 GHz Intel Core Duo
    ffmpegx 0.0.9x (r2)

Same here with 10.5.1 on a G4 iMac-

    Code:
The specified object is a property, not an element. (-10008)
Any update on when the update will be released?
