i have a series of 10 avi files which i'd like to make a normal dvd for dvd players from. is this possible with ffmpegX ? it seems to only allow one file to be chosen.

also somewhere i saw a pointer to the manual for the software at this location: http://ffmpegX.com i'm still none the wiser; where's the manual?

    thanks.

just to clarify what i'm asking:

    1. is it possible to use ffmpegX to prepare a dvd image/folder for burning to a dvd from multiple (10 in this particular case) separate avi files? it seems it's only possible to choose 1 file?

    2. the http://ffmpegX.com web page doesn't seem to be or link to a manual. is there one at that address or not?

    thanks.

    1. If you want a menu, you'll be needing extra software to author multiple movie files to DVD. Let ffmpegX create the DVD compliant MPEGs, then use authoring software to create a VIDEO_TS. Sizzle is a freeware option. I'm sure others will chime in with their favorites.
    2. There's a "How-To's" link on top of the pages at ffmpegX.com, explaining the options in the various tabs, as well as directions for specific tasks.

thanks v. much for the reply.

    1.

no, i'm not after a menu, just a way to create a single dvd image ready for burning from *multiple* movie files (avi files).

you say "MPEGs", which is plural -- how do you let ffmpegX create a dvd from multiple mpegs? (in fact i'm starting with avis but i guess that doesn't make any difference) i can only see a way of choosing a single file. if i choose another file, that file becomes the new single file. how do i use multiple movie files to make up a dvd image?

    2. oh right, yup, i see.

    thanks
