I use 5.1 channel audio for the DVDs I make with Pinnacle Studio 10.
If you make first a file (avi or mpeg) from your project with 5.1 audio instead of straight burning the project to DVD, is the 5.1 channel audio kept when later-on converting the video-file to DVD.
Or is the 5.1 audio only available when converting a project directly to DVD ?
thanks for your feedback.

If you check Pinnacle10 specifications it is able to export 5.1 audio.
So if you import 5.1 into your project, your DVD should be with 5.1 sound.
I do not get what you mean "converting later-on", but you have to be careful if you use other software to make DVD, because some convert 5.1 to 2 channel stereo, like TMPGEnc.
