    I have a Dell Inspiron E1405 and i want to hook it up to my Philips DVDR 3390. It is hooked up to a VCR and to the sattelite box via a rf modulator because it is an older television. I want to hook up my laptop to the dvd recorder.

    If you have a video card with S-video output, then you could likely connect your pc to the recorder using a S-video cable.
