Hi I'm new to the forum. This is my problem.I actually have two.I burned a movie I downloaded to a blank DVD+R disc.It will play on my PC but not on my TRUTECH DVD player. The model is TT320.The manual says it should play DVD+R.I thought I had to make an adjustment so I went on the setup menu.I accidently changed NTSC to Pal.The picture is so scrambled now,I can't change it back. The only way to get the dvd player back to factory default is thru the setup menu, which I can't see! So my questions are...how do I get my dvd player back to normal and and how do I set up to accept this type of blank dvd.Is it something with the region setup. Please Help!![/b]

I'm guessing that is one of those Target Tru-tech players. Support is hard to find. They are going for about $26 through Amazon at present. We do seem to have some hacks for it if you look the the left under 'DVD Players'.

You didn't mention the brand of DVD media you are using or the program used to burn the disc. And I am assuming you DL'd a DVD type file, with a VIDEO_TS folder in it. It would be very rare that a downloaded DVD video would have region encoding, so that's not likely your problem. Some players and some media and some burners or programs don't work well together. You can also see what media seems to work with that unit in 'DVD Players'.

But you might want to check that video file and make sure it's really a DVD and that it's not in PAL format. Even if you changed the switch, I doubt that player can play back PAL to a NTSC (US) system. Gspot 2.70 can show the framerate, as can many software players. PAL is 25fps and NTSC is 29.97 or 23.976. If you run into a PAL video file in the future, you might try a program like ConvertXToDVD. It can convert PAL videos to NTSC DVDs.

Sorry, I don't know how to reset the player to PAL. Maybe try the buttons on the remote for a combination that works. Try unplugging it for an hour or two. Try playing a commercial DVD and maybe it will reset itself.

If all else fails, junk it and buy another or maybe a better quality players.

    And welcome to our forums.
