  1. I am in need of a video editing package that I can realtime edit .TSP files directly, I need the ability to cut out sections (commercials) then save it as a standard MPG or DIVX format. I need this all to be done with out getting the audio out of sync.

Also, the .TSP often contain different audio tracts so I will need the program to have the ability to pick the correct audio track for the output.

I would like this all to reside in the same package. Perferably able to do this without re-encodeing (unless saved as something like xvid, or divx ect....)

Anyone know of a program that can do all of this.. The .tSP files are coming from a dishnetwork DVR

    Thanks.

Here is what i found so far.

I use the EXT2FSD to read the DVR drive in a windows system.
PRVExplorerPro to mux/remux the video into standard MPEG
then mpg2cut2 to remove things that need to be cut...

    All of this is freeware.

Does anyone know of a freeware application to automatically detect comercials in video and mark them for removal.. Preferably without re-encoding.

I looked at projectx but it is far to complicated for me.. I like it simple.

Comskip is an app which can remove commercials. Not very fast, however.

Comskip can only detect where the commercials are and it can output a cutlist for many free/nonfree video editors.
