    1. Can you move, thumbnails, Text, resize them, and add independent text in canned templates without going into custom mode as you must do in TDA 1.6?

    2. Can you add your own independent text, in custom mode, or must this be done in Adobe, etc. and then imported as a background?

    I am trying to see if TDA 3 is worth the upgrade from TDA 1.6.

    I only use custom mode with text button templates.
    You can move and resize text buttons, add independent text and images, apply numerous effects to text and image objects, edit adjacent button links, create motion backgrounds with audio, animated thumbnails etc. Didn't try to move thumbnails (not often use them).

    I just got the program & have made 1 dvd ... and yes, you can move the thumbnails.
