    Hello folks,

I have joined two avi files to one, and joined 2 srt files to one.

The subtitle files don’t fit the movie, so I have to sync it, in order for it to work.
Do I have to check the whole movie, or is it enough to check the beginning and the end, or should I check in the middle as well?

I would check throughout. Just skip through and check it at 5 minute intervals. I do this with audio if I have any doubts.

    Cheers mate,

What program do you recommend that can preview the movie with subtitle?

Subtitle Workshop to preview subtitle with the movie, and to edit subtitle if necessary.
KMPlayer to preview movie with subtitle.

VLC and Media Player Classic also support subs. I like MPC because it is a single, self-contained executable. No install.

Subtitle Workshop is perfect for this.

It's fairly simple, read the help file: section 2.3 Adjust subtitles. (The interface isn't that obvious until you read it.)
You can shift all subtitles, or stretch the times between the first and last, or adjust individually.
