Hey,
I've got kind of a strange question, and I wasn't sure of even what topic this question falls under,
anyways... here's what I am trying to do, and I was wondering if it can be done?
I would like to set up a television monitor with an infinite looping DVD in a display case.
I want to have the television come on and the DVD player start playing at a certain time,
and then to shut down again at the end of the day.
Is there any way this can be done without having to manually do it everyday?
Do they make some kind of universal programmable remote control?
Or can some DVD players be set up to automatically start playing as soon as the power is turned on? ( cause maybe then a basic timer might even do the trick)
I was hoping someone could help me out with this little problem I am having.
Thanx,
Todd

I just checked and my portable Coby TF-DVD7100 will automatically start playing when power is applied. This assumes the DVD is authored to start playing and play in a continuous loop (no menus, etc.).
