What's up with Firefox?

For the 3rd time in 2 weeks, Firefox has updated itself- now its 2.0.0.6...

its not the Firefox update I mind, but each time it shuts down the Java Console, which then requires an update at a later time because it is 'incompatible'. On dialup this is a 2 hour long pain in the butt.

Tools/options/advanced/update/automatically check for updates to/

Just download the "offline" installation package. Then you can install from your HDD.

I have dont the last 2 updates fine, and kept all my settings and add-ons, and no problems with java either... mmm, wonder why i got such a good deal.
