I've used EyeTV Hybrid to copy a movie I recorded on my PVR cable box and then exported the file from EyeTV as a MPEG-1 file so I can use ffmpegX to convert to DVD format. I choose the file and then choose the DVD mpeg2enc preset. I see in the information window that video has a 23.976 fps w/ 3:2 and then on the Options tab that the preset has correctly selected the Set 3:2 option. But when I hit encode it stops within a second or two and here is the Process Information. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I can view the MPEG file from EyeTV using VLC and it plays with no problems. Thank you.

Check under Options and see if you have "Decode with Quicktime" checked. If so change it to "Decode with mplayer". I think you need the Quicktime MPEG2 component installed to decode with Quicktime (which you have to buy - it's not included).

Another potential problem is that the pathname contains spaces. Get rid of all special characters in the pathname to maximize chances of success. Some of the modules within ffmpegX can't handle spaces, etc. gracefully.
