  1. I have had two pioneer DVD recorders with hard drives and two Panaoonic DVD recorders without hard drives. I really like the Panasonics at the time except for the blocks in fast moving scenes. I haven't used a Panaonic for a couple of years now so don't know if they have fixed that problem or not.

I want to buy a new one and have been looking at the DVR650 Pioneer and the Panaonic DMR-EH55, but not sure which one to buy. I like the fact that the Panasonic as an SD slot as I have a Panasonic Dgitial Camera as well. I like the manual recording speed selections with the Pioneer and also the 250GB hard drive. The Panasonic is about $100 more than the Pioneer

Of course the primary consideration is picture quality.

Would like to hear some opinions and pros and cons, or do you think I should be looking at other brands?

    Thanks

Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

Well I record a lot of movies from satellite, and do a lot of VHS transfers.

Other then that it will be used for daily recordings of shows.

Yes, but not for the U.S. market.
When in Las Vegas, don't miss the Pinball Hall of Fame Museum ( http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ ) (http://lasvegas.wikia.com/wiki/Las_V...of_Fame_Museum ) -- over 150 tables from 6+ decades of this gradually disappearing American art form.

Does it also support SDHC (SD High Capacity)? If not, it may already be obsolete as all the new SD-style digital cameras and all SD-style memory cards beyond 2GB need to use this newer standard.
