Some older PC-games hade the game ingame-music directley on the game CD..wich maked it possible to listen to the music in a standard CD player for free...this phenomen seems wery rare these day, when you istead shall buy the soundtrack in the store..even thou game music whas better before!!..anyway
the music on discs today seem to be either waw ore compressed..atleast you can find it when browsing, i have only encounter 2 examples in my gaming life thath have the CD music function
Settlers 3 and the orginal Warcraft 2 CD

however just beacuse you can do thath..brings some bad consequenses
when you view the CD-files inside Windows Explorer..there is no traces of anything that sounds like audio tracks..unfortentley but is there any way to extract these audio files thath seems invicible on the CD,
and how can i find them? (i hope you have Warcraft 2! now :P..so you can guide me)

Holly cow ... thats really getting old now ... but there are far more games than just those few that include music audio during playback .

Some use what is known as cd mode 2 format ... cant be sure of that , its been a long time since .

Isobuster I think in its earlier development supported those things .

But an easier way would be to just hook up an mp3 player that has recording function inbetween the pc speaker out and pc speaker .

Its the easiest method , as some games decrypt these tunes only during game activity , as they are not normally accessible under any other method .

Thems where the days ... good old privateer ... just dont make warp jumps without the map ... your screwed , unless you turn about asap and jump back where you just came from ... lmgo
