Printable Audio Blank CDs?

Can someone recommend the best blank audio/music CD with a printable surface, if they exist?

Sorry, I don't know of any printable CD-R for audio. I would have recommended Taiyo Yuden printable CD-Rs but they're data/audio use and won't work in standalone CD recorders.

Okay you do realize that cd-r's "specificaclly for audio or music" or for standalone cd recorders or the one's labeled/marketed or listed as "MUSIC" cd-r's & the cd-r's you can use to record in your PC's cd or dvd burner to record music/files on are basically the same ?

If you're going to be using them in your PC to make music cd-r's pretty much any quality cd-r will work.

They put some special header/info on the one's they sell as "music cd-r's" so they will work in standalone music cd-r recorders and standard cd-r's won't work in them & they charge more for them so as to get extra $$ for something like a royalty payment. (not the exact technical explanation but basically the jist of it)
But other than that there is really no diff.

A cdr is a cdr is a cdr regardless of how someone or some company try's to market them...

The retail Verbatim CD-Rs aren't using the Mitsubishi AZO dye anymore, they're CMC or Prodisc CD-Rs branded as Verbatim. You can't do any better than these discs: http://www.rima.com/Merchant2/mercha...tegory_Code=TY

MAM-A also makes some silver & gold ones, which should be about the highest quality you can get:

MAM-A is overrated and overpriced. It's nowhere near the quality of the Mitsui discs from back in the day even though supposedly it's based on the same technology.

MAM-A still makes at least *some* excellent quality discs, but maybe also some lower grades of discs. I know HHB, Apogee, and Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab CD-R all use MAM-A discs and they are considered the best out there. I can say I've used some newer HHB discs which have MAM-A/Mitsui ID on them and I can't tell any reduction in quality over the old Mitsui discs.

Actually I'm making the request for blank audio Cd, because I remember with my Xbox system, it wouldn't allow me to copy songs from a CD-R disk. It had be from a commerical CD that I purchased. I then tried to use a blank RW-Audio CD in order to copy audio directly to it, that I have on my computer system, and it worked perfectly. I also noticed that some CD-R disk had problems playing in my car, but when I used the blank audio disk, I had no problems.

If such a thing doesn't exist, I may just try the CD-R TY disk, since I use those for DVDs without any issues.

I've been working my way through a pack of Ritek inkjet printable cd-r's purchased from meritline.com - with no problems so far. The burn quality is fine - and the printing using my Epson R320 has been excellent also.
