Hi, I have a Sony "RDR-HX900" DVD recorder also with TV GUide OnScreen. Sometimes the timer on the Sony gets out of wack and I dont know why. I put my VCR on both PBS stations and told it to get the time from them and their time seems to be okay. If I leave the Sony off over night it seems to fix itself but I'd still like to know where its getting its information.

Ive looked around here and other places and people say that if you go into TVGOS and highlight SETUP then go to Change System Settings and type 753159852 you'll get a diagnostic screen. For instance those instructions are in http://forum.videohelp.com/topic253998-480.html here on VideoHelp.

But my TVGOS doesnt have a "Change System Settings" option. The options in SETUP are:

    Change Channel Lineup
    Change Channel Display
    Review Options

I've tried typing those numbers in all those places and nothing happens. Please does anyone know how to get the diagnostic screen in this Sony? thanks.

  3. Be sure you have DST turned off on your Sony. Our old DST happens around this time.
