you might want to contact the authors of cdrwin.

    www.goldenhawk.com

and it's kinda hard to tell what the error might be without the actual command listed at line 56.

    Hi,

If you are already used this software(CDRWIN) with FREELOCK 1.3 for CD protection then kindly tell me the procedure if possible.

it only works for vcds/svcds and also makes them non-compliant so they may not play in all players.

but anything you can burn on your computer people can find a way to copy.

Is this the wrong forum? Because a problem with CDRWIN seems to me to have nothing to do with VCDEasy.

There are many other programs that can burn BIN/CUE files, so you don't HAVE to use CDRWIN. Try another burner and see if you still have problems. If not, maybe it's an issue with CDRWIN.

Finally, you should be aware that your discs still can be copied. It will just be harder to do so and it will discourage some people from copying them, but a determined, smart person will still be able to get around whatever you do. I see posts all the time from people in India who want to copy VCDs that are copy protected, so there certainly is an interest in this.

If you REALLY want to protect the disc's contents just do the following.

    1. Take a screwdriver and while pressing hard on the bottom of the disc make 4 'X's. One at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock.

That's it. No one will be making copies of the disc, of course the play compatibility drops to zero too.

Sorry, it's just that anybody who READS knows this topic has been talked to death and should know better.

    Hi sarvagya,

The first problem I had some years ago when I tried to copy protect my own vcd's with freelock and cdrwin was that cdrwin always displayed "cuesheet rejected by the cd-rom recorder" when I tried to burn the cue file. The solution to this problem was to burn in DAO96 mode.

The second problem I had was with freelock because the copy protection added by freelock wasn't that good and the reason for this was that freelock was never designed for copy protecting VCD's.

The only solution for me back then was to develope my own copy protection for VCD's.

DAO96 is simply put a special burning mode that allows you to burn a CD with for example "unreadable sectors" and/or "illegal TOC".

It's going to be to complicated for me trying to explain how my copy protection is done and how it works.

I have however here "File Deleted" a VCD sample with my copy protection that you can download and burn to a CD.

I hope that this VCD sample will at least give you an idea on how a VCD can be copy protected when burned in DAO96.

I'm sorry, but that's totally imposible because I have developed my own copy protection from scratch without the help from any documents.

I'm also sorry that my VCD sample was of no use.
