Hello,
I'm looking to convert DVD to mpeg2 format.
However, I need to retain the closed caption data from the DVD.
I would also like all of this to be done in real time.
Is this possible and is there a way to go about this?
Thanks
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Welcome, but you have made the usual newbie mistake of thinking that the less you tell us, the more likely you will be to get help. You could not be more wrong. The fact that you think you need to "convert" DVD to MPEG2 format shows a lack of understanding in whatever you need to do.
Why do you think you need to convert a DVD to MPEG2? What is your final plan for this file? (ie. Playback on an iPod, some other video device, and so on)
Why do you need this done in real time? Is this some sort of thing you will need to do all the time? You should be aware that video conversion, if you even need to do it, has a general rule that the faster you do it, the less the quality. You either want it done fast or you want it done with quality, but not both.
You should be aware that DVD video is (usually) MPEG-2, which is why your statement about "converting" is puzzling and not really helpful.
