    Hello all,

I'm having a problem with playing a particular korean DVD where it plays on the DVD player but has difficulty even being read by the DVD writer. The PC reads all other discs fine. Tried the DVD on another computer and was unable to read it still. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Welcome jeneralzod

The drive may not beable to play dvd discs from "X" region .
In control panel > system > hardware tab > device manager button .
Click + on cd/dvdrom to open list
Right click on the drive , sellect properties
    Advanced settings tab

Drives region code will be displayed .

Check other pcs drive , if they match (same region) , then drive with issue may want a clean .

If region is other , you could unlock the problem drive , to region free .

Do you see any files on the dvd?

It could be a dvdr/w media and it might not work that well on some pc dvd drives. Try use isobuster or cdroller to see if they can find some files on the dvd.

The drive does not see the disc at all. It seems to try to read the disc with the drive LED's flashing, but eventually fail to see the disc at all.
