HD DVD Ripping

Hi, I apologise if this has been asked before but I did a search and couldn't find anything.

Is it yet possible for the common all garden user to rip HD DVDs?

I see them converted on usenet to WMV HD so obviously its possible but how?

I have a few HD dvds and a huge external HD so I'd like to rip and convert to WMV HD so I can put them on my external HD and play on my Xbox360. I can take loads of films in one little box when going to friends houses then.

Thanks for the info. I have the hd-dvd drive for the 360 but I have 3 360's in three rooms but only one hd dvd drive. My friends don't have the drive and seeing as I have loads more dvds than any of my friends I end up having to take my drive and a load of films round all the time.

I just like the idea of ripping just the movie to an external hdd and taking that everywhere instead.
