I have a panasonic NV-GS11eb camcorder which uses mini dvd tapes. As I am an illiterate (computer wise) 60+ I cannot download these to my computer despite trying the DV studio software disc which only seems to capture stills. I have a windows xp pro and intel duo with 1024 RAM. Can anyone suggest a simple way of doing this with easy to use software. I want eventualy to put the videos onto a dvd via the computer dvd burner to send to family.

I presume you mean mini DV tapes?
You connect the cam to your PC using the FireWire/IEEE1394 interface, and transfer the DV AVI to your computer using WinDV.
Once that's done, start reading here:

For a "as good as it gets with minimal effort/knowledge" solution, try Convertx2dvd.
