    Ok, so my friend tried to do a very nice thing for me and cap my favorite episode of a tv show, and he went from

    SD > .TS using VLC

    and now the .TS is completely unrecognizable by any app at all...

    any suggestions?

    VLC playbacks this .TS file? If so,use VLC to convert it to mpeg or whatever.
