Have just changed hard drive, minimum spec was 80Gb rather than 40. DVD still shows 40Gb after formatting drive, i.e. 52 hours recording time.

Question: - is there a way of changing the setting in a service mode menu or a jumper setting on one of the circuit boards? If so, what is the process.

    Thanks in anticipation

All of the information and data I have found on this unit indicates that it only supports a 40Gb HDD. There are no known "hacks" or workarounds, the firmware and OS only support 40Gb.

Hi Phil O, what type of drive did you use to replace the old HS2 also wher did you get it. My HS2 is stuck in recover mode and changing the hard drive is my last option.

    Any help would be good.

    Thanks
