I have a quicktime file with a .qt extension, and cant find a freeware program to convert it.
Ideally i want to convert it to play on my ipod, but a conversion to anything will do as this seems to be one of the few formats I cant find a way of converting!
I have tried super, but it finds an error.
    help appreciated!

".qt" is NOT a normal extension for a Quicktime movie, ".mov" IS. You should check with Gspot to see if these REALLY are quicktime movies. If they are, just change the file extension to ".mov". Then all the usual QT->AVI etc. conversions should work fine (unless it's got some screwy proprietary codec).
If they aren't, you'll need to determine what kind of movies they really are first before doing any kind of converting.
