    I need some help on connecting dcr-trv38 firewire from ilink to macbook on firewire 400 and I don't know which cable to get from so that I can connect it directly to the macbook. http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Sony%20D...z:age=overview

    Generally a DV camera uses a mini 4 pin FireWire connector to a full size 6 pin FireWire Connector on the PC. Some laptops may use a mini 4 pin FireWire to save space. The mini to fullsize FireWire is a fairly common cable you should be able to get at most video/electronic stores.

    The firewire (I-Link) DV connector is on the right front of the camcorder near the USB connector.
