I have used IFOEDIT to create IFO files for a project.
Question:
Do I need to choose get VTS sectors, I have read here that it can cause issues if you don't.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Yes , its confussing , but
If you are generating new ifos for an already generated title which is missing ifos , then do it .
If you are using ifoedit to author a title from raw files (video / audio / subs / chapter list) , then no need .
I use it all the time in this manner with pal and nstc projects , and have never had problems with play back on players .
So , in your case its do it .
No idea what that other report was about .
