I have a Panasonic PV-GS15 digital video camera. I have a 4 to 6 pin firewire cable, and I have an SIIG IEEE1394 Firewire 800 XpressCard/54mm to go into my Dell laptop. But everytime I try to capture video from my camera onto my laptop (AMD Sempron Processor, 1GB Ram, 120GB Hard drive, 1.7GHZ) using Ulead Basic 8.0 it says "Unable to convert to capture mode. Cannot Capture." I've also tried it on Roxio 9, and it just freezes up the program. I tried it on Windows Movie Maker too. On there, it won't capture either, and the video won't come up on the preview screen, it just stays in one spot and won't play. I can't figure out why it won't work. I am trying to just import parts of the DV tape. Any ideas? Thanks.

Try WinDV. If that doesn't work try deleting the IEEE-1394 port driver and let it reinstall on reboot.Originally Posted by brad86_mx
