    Hi,
A friend of mine asked me if i can convert a dvd into a vhs...as i do the opposite
    with no problems.
The first thing I asked is "why would you want to" anyway he needs it so basically
is there a way of doing this??

Of course. Just hook your DVD player up to your VHS, press REC on the VHS, press play on the DVD, sit back & wait.

If your DVD is a commercial one, it will be protected by Macrovision and you won't be able to copy it to VHS unless you rip it and remove the Macrovision and then burn it to a new DVD so you can play in your player and send the output to a VCR. That's an awful lot of work.
