    Hello.
I am interested in one thing.

I have a coupple of movies in AVI format that I have downloaded from
the Internet but I can't watch them in Windows Media Player.

    I have FFDSHOW installed.

Anyway, I can watch those AVI movies with VLC MEDIA PLAYER.

When I put in VLC player option STREAM AND MEDIA INFO for that movie I
    get following info:

    STREAM 0
    Codec: divx
    Resolution: 480x328
    Frame rate: 23.976000

    STREAM 1
    Codec: mpga
    Type: Audio
    Channels: 2
    Sampe Rate: 44100 Hz
    Bitrate 128 kb/s

    Meta information:
    Setting: HAS_INDEX_IS_INTERLEAVED_TRUST_CKTYPE

When I try the same with GSSPOT I get this:

    Type AVI
    IMRR 1.00
I/L 1 vid frame (42 ms) Split: No

    Codec:
    4CC divx
    Name DivX 4 (OpenDivX)
    3 compatible codecs installed
    Xvid MPEG-4 Video Decoder
    DiVX Decoder Filter
    DiVX Decoder Filter
    Bitrate: 924 kb/s
    FFPS 23.97
    QF 0.245 bits/pixel

    Audio
    0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3
    3 compatible codecs installed
    Franuhoffer
    FFDSHOW
    mpeg layer 3 decoder
    Bitrate 128 kb/s (64/ch, stereo) CBR
    Fs 44100 Hz

But when I try to render with GSSPOT I get message: "RENDERING FAILED"

Any suggestion what could be the problem.
Why I can't watch that movie in Windows Media Player.

I must also add that I am able to watch on Windows Media Player bunch
of other divx and xvid AVI's over FDDSHOW codec.

    Best regards

  2. Did you enable Divx 4 decompression in ffdshow? I don't think it's enabled by default. Start -> All Programs -> ffdshow -> Video Decoder Configuration -> Codecs -> Divx 4
