I need to change the region code of my internal Pioneer drive.

However, I now have only one more go at doing so before the drive becomes locked to a particular region. Is there a way around this?

Is there a way of flashing the region to All Region?

Build the drive into a PC, flash the firmware to RPC1, move it back into your Mac, reset the counter with Region X.

The unofficial flasher utility for Mac only works upto model DVR-108. After that the programmer retired from the scene. So there is no unrestricted Mac flasher utility for your drive, only ones that run on dos/win/linux.

    DVRFlash 2.2 should do it:

    http://lasvegas.rpc1.org/

The RPC1 data file for the 109 is at

    http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.ph...&manufactor=25

You do have to go into "terminal" to do this. I friend and I wrote some
user notes (dummy's guide, if you will). If you'd like a copy, drop me
a note with your e-mail address.

I understand that you need RegionX (from macupdate.com) to actually
reset the number of region codes to zero after making the drive RPC1.

Then you do your 6 changes again, run RegionX again, etc.

Yes Joachim S did this for us a while back:
    Joachim posts Flasher
for Mac to xlr8yourmac.com in 2005
    .

    and here:
    Joachim's Flasher Direct

    Region X direct link here.
