    Hello all,

    Please help me choose between the following JVC PAL VCR models, assuming they are all in a somewhat used condition from eBay:

    HR-S7600
    HR-S7711
    HR-S7955
    HR-S8960
    HR-S9600
    HR-DVS2

    For the purpose of restoring PAL VHS tapes, what I'm looking for is some guidance if some of them are substantially better/worse mechanically or electronically (TBC/DNR/filters, etc) than the rest. I'm aware that HR-S7965/HR-S8965 are the models mentioned more often in this forum, but those are hard to come by.

    I appreciate any help.

    Those should all be fine.
    The 7600 might not be as good as the others.

    HR-S8960 is close to the 8965EK I have.
