Does anyone know why Windows Media and Real Players would play the video, but not the audio of a DVD that plays normally in VLC media player. The DVDs are basically ones I have burned many times in the past and have played find in those software programmes in the past.

I wonder if it is a bad batch of DVD-Rs or something else. I have tried them in my DVD player and they work fine.

It could be an issue with AC3 audio. Install AC3 Filter, if you haven't done so already, and see if it works.

Thanks, Ai Haibara. I imagine that will be it. I forgot about the old AC3 thing.
