Hi,
I'm using WinDV to capture video fro my Panasonic miniDV camera. My problem is that winDV spilt the capture file every now and then (it seems random). My system is NTFS so that shouldn't be the problem and my setting are 1,000,000 max frame and 0 at discontinuity threshold. If anyone have an idea what I should do to get the capture in one file I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

Thread: Problem with WinDV

Maybe it's splitting due to dropped frames? I don't have much experience with WinDV.
Have you tried any other capturing software?
I've never seen dropped frames split files. But then again I've never seen split files when discontinuity is set to 0 and the max frames is adequate for the whole tape, which yours seems to be set. Is there anything special about the content at the split points? For example does it split at points where you turned the camera off and back on? Or anything like that? The only other thing I can think of would be to double check all of your connections and make sure nothing gets disturbed while capsferring.
