Apple Delays Launch of Mac OS X 'Leopard' Software, Blames iPhone
http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/070412/apple...elay.html?.v=2SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Apple Inc. said it won't be shipping its next-generation operating system in June as planned, saying it had to divert resources from the project so that it could launch its highly anticipated iPhone on time.
The new shipment date for Mac OS X "Leopard" will be in October, the company said Thursday. The iPhone will make its debut in June as planned.
Apple shares dropped $1.75, or nearly 2 percent, to $90.44 in extended-session trading after the announcement. Earlier, they had closed at $92.19, down 40 cents, on the Nasdaq Stock Market.

Is that meant to be a joke? Because you can't buy an iPhone now. It won't be available until June.

still bad to delay an os for a peripheral release. It isn't even a core ipod product - its an offshoot. If I were a mac user I'd be pissed off at delaying an OS release for a techtoy that doesn't have anything to do with your OS.
Fortunately I'm not a mac user so i don't really care
