Finalize problem

Hello:

I recently did a straight 8mm to DVD-R copy (VR mode) and finalized the disc; now it won't play on anything else except the recording DVD. I'm relatively new to DVD recording but doesn't finalizing the disc let it play on most (if not all other players)?

The issue is most likely the fact that you used VR mode. For better compatibility, use video mode (standard dvd video format).
