    Can someone provide the part# of the remote for a DRC8030N? I'm having a hard time finding a replacement & RCA is no help.

    I was able to program my directv remote to do basic functions. This unit was given to me w/no remote or manual. I can access the menu, library & select a hdd video, but cannot delete it. Do I need the original remote, or can I delete through the menu?

    I have a DRC8030N and the remote is a RCR192DA2 if I can read the microscopic text on it. You may be interested that I also have a remote from an RCA DRC8005N which I prefer to use with the DRC8030N. I'm not sure that it has every single identical key, but it does work my TV better than the original remote that came with the 8030. Anyway the m/n for that is RCR311DCM1 just in case you can't find the other one.
