ohhkay, here we go again, (not HERE) but again none the less; I was given this suggestion to come here.............. {But if it's duplicate pictures that is the big problem there are some free programs out there that will find duplicate pictures and let you do whatever to them.

Here is my original question/issue/PROBLEM [/img]

I just don't know if this a windows issue , well okay wait, part of it is from what I have read. ANYWAYZ,
I got this laptop in DEC 06. It is a Toshiba P105-S6084, running windows XP media center edition version 2002, service pack 2.
I have to find out EXACTLY what is on here and how large it is and the way to do this has got me stumped and I really need to find out what has filled up my HD.

I know I can look in add-remove programs to see but other than that is what i have GOT TO FIND OUT.
I just looked at my system info so I would be accurate and I have 41.1 G free and it says 112G size.

I have that dam thing of the pictures breeding and replicating, I am not even sure how many "my pictures" with my pictures inside of that and THEN another my pictures there. AND some of the pictures in these folders are in there 9-10 times maybe more.

I don't want to foul up my machine, she is my lifeline as i am currently home bound.
OKAY, I'm ready............. how do i fix these things????

  3. Take a whi8le but you can also use the built in search feature on Windows.

Go to start>search and type "*.jpg" without the quotes. This will find every file on your computer with the .jpg extension which is the most common format for images. From there you can sort them by name , file size, location... etc. by click the appropiate attribute at the top of the list.
