Merging 2 subtitles files into 1

Hello all,

I have 2 subtitles files (disc 1 and disc 2) but since I have encoded the video file to play on 1 disc only I'd like to be able to merge the subtitles files together.

They are idx and sub files, I can open the idx files into notepad which gives me the info that they have been made with vobsub7

Hi-

VobSub Joiner will do it. It comes as part of the VobSub package. You'll need to know the exact length of the Part 1 AVI (VDub(Mod) can tell you), so you'll know how much to delay the Part 2 IDX/SUB files when they're joined with the Part 1 IDX/SUB files.

great, many thanks, vobsub did the trick.

Now why on earth do they call the subtitles vob7 files when vobsub 2.23 can edit them ?
