    Hi there,

I've used ISOBuster to recover some video from my Canon Camcorder's mini DVD disc.

I have two VOB files which play fine using something like WinDVD or one of those programs that comes bundled with my Toshiba laptop that allows you to play DVDs.

But I want to author a DVD using this video and my DVD authoring program does not like VOBs so I want to convert it to MPG.

Now when I vob2mpg, it doesn't process the files, it just says 0 files processed, etc. Is there a specific naming convention I need to use for the VOB Files? I even tried putting the VOBs into the VIDEO_TS folder but that still didn't work.

    What am I missing?

    thanks,
    Keith

I do not know what is your authoring software, but try Mpeg Video Wizard DVD it will import VOBs, let you build menu and export to DVD file for burning

The VIDEO_TS folder should have the right vob sets already.. open folder and see if all VOB's are there... I use VOBtoMPG and it works great!
You can try Super for VOB to MPG also 8) ....

Just add the VOB files in Mpg2cut2 and save them as a single MPG file.

kbailie, I had the same problem with VOB2MPEG and it turned out the program didn't want to save to the same drive as the source VOBS were on. Maybe a left over from normally reading from a DVD drive and saving to a disk drive. When I chose a different drive to save to, works perfect.

All that was probably spelled out in the information for the program, but I never read manuals.

Of course if you don't have two drives on your system, might be a problem. But then again, you may be able to save to a virtual drive like Daemon Tools sets up.
