while recently trying to play"chronicles of riddick" on my pc the disc tried to install something called interactual player. i let it do this but this player would not play the disc and gave an error message that codecs were missing to enable me to play this disc. have any of you heard of this player and if so can you tell me where to download the codecs for it?

Why not use a tested player like Media Player Classic? Built in mpeg decoding for DVD.

many various titles use the interactive player for web-based content that is on the disc. the player should use your existing dvd codecs.

Which may not be installed if a software dvd player was never installed in the first place.

You could try stinkys mpeg2 codec.
