    Hi everyone,

I created an avi file in VirtualDubMod using an x264-H.264/AVC encoder. I'd like to play it in Media Player Classic, but all I get is a blank screen. Gspot says I'm missing an "ITU H.264" codec to play it - I guess I've got an encoder but no decoder. Is there a way to get it to play in Media Player Classic? I realize from searching around forums that there are other programs that can handle this (like mplayer?) but I'd rather be able to integrate the ability into MPC, and not have to replace it (VLC media player wasn't to my taste). I can post a clip if need be. I have ffdshow (Oct 12 2004) installed but don't quite understand how to configure it, if that's part of the problem.

(Edit) I found a December 2006 version of ffdshow, which seems to have done the trick.
